Something Nice "This Way Comes" Thread

I've seen some guys posting up some pretty nice occurrences from around the world lately and thought it would be nice to have one thread to encompass them. Might make for a pretty nice break from all the "crap" this world puts out.

    Anyway, here's my first entry:

Please do the same if so inclined.

Not a good reporter, but the intentions and the thing this guy did for this girl is amazing in my eyes.

No worries. I appreciate your earlier post! I get tired of all the abusive, nasty crap (albeit somewhat entertaining) and just thought this may be a "nicer" style thread for a change.

This is an amazing story about a families strength after a battle with cancer is lost by a young child. Mya Thompson is my wife's hero.. when we vacationed in Arizona last year, we drove to her house in Phoenix and left a check to her foundation right in her mailbox. My wife closely follows Mya's blog and she continues to fight anger and depression from the loss of her little boy.

The story has gotten attention from superstars such as Taylor Swift, who wrote a song for Ronan (the little boy) and all proceeds go to his foundation.

Despite her loss and battle with life after the death of her baby boy, she has successfully pioneered an absolute amazing charity to children's cancer, where an astonishing 100% of proceeds to to the cause.. almost unheard of. Every single person who works for that charity is a volunteer.. 0% of the income is distributed to those who run it.. really amazing story. My wife cries all the time as she reads Mya's blogs..

The idea came out many years ago. It's called pay it forward.

Pay it forward is a great concept. If it stuck and everyone did it, there would be a lot more good in the world.

Awww, something like this happened to me -
When my kids were little I had taken them to lunch after church. I kept reminding them of they're manners and trying to get them to be little gentlemen - and I guess an older couple next to us noticed and paid for our tab!
I was never sure though, if they thought I was doing a good job...or a BAD job with the boys!!
Anyway it touched my heart and still does.
