    Frozen HCG not working?

    So basically I ordered 3x1500iu vials of Pregnyl HCG, I'm unable to get my hands on bac water here so my best idea was to mix the 1ml solvent water with the 1500iu freeze dried powder, preload 250iu or 0.166ml into 6 insulin pins and freeze them to be used twice weekly.
    I tested the product after cracking open an ampoule and the pregnancy test came up positive.
    After freezing the rest, I defrosted one by warming it in my hand, tested it, and it came back negative. I had hoped that it was a preg test mistake. But the boys seem to have shrunk lately.
    Can anyone shed some light? Or advise other more suitable options providing I can't get bacteriostatic water?

    Would be greatly appreciated

    What did you mix it with? You shouldn't freeze hCG unless it's in powered form. Multiple freezes/thaws can and will damage the proteins in hCG.

    Get some B12 and mix it with that or make your own BAC water.

    Thanks for your response, due to my access to bac water being restricted, I mixed the 1ml solvent water ampoule I received for each of the powder ampoules. I was under the impression the solvent water is a immediate, one off use, so I hoped in freezing it that I may be able to use it again, evidently not!

    Would any B12 be okay to mix with? E.g off sites such as amazon etc? And then is it okay to freeze? Or is it possible to split the powder into 6 250iu portions and then recon it when needed? I ask purely because fridge is out of use due to children.
    Thanks

    It will keep in the fridge after it's mixed no matter if reconstituted with the supplied solvent, B12 or bac water. As Austin says freezing the dissolved product crushes the protien.

    I had extra, so I tried to preserve it.

    I have frozen extra I got from a compounding pharmacy in individual syringes and used it with no issues.

    Thanks for all the help, one last question from me;
    Does reconstituted HCG have to be kept airtight? And for that matter, does the powder have to be kept air tight too? Thanks

    Your injecting it so you want it to be sterile. So yes, needs to be airtight to keep sterile.

    Maybe I am misunderstanding you?
