Priapism - just how common is it?

I've been thinking about this lately. I've never experienced, and no one I know has ever experienced. So I'm curious to know if any other PDE5i recreational users have ever experienced this painful condition?

I'm thinking if I ever were to experience, I'd be able to control simply by jumping into a cold shower?

Anyone have any experience with this?

And did everyone know there is a female version of this? where the clitoris becomes engorged in blood, and remains so for several hours? it's called clitoritis?

Hmmm, wouldn't a cold shower constrict the venous system.even more and worsen the situation????? I do know it's a serious condition.
The first time I saw the info that said "if you have an erection lasting over 4 hours then seek medical attention'....well, my first thought was if I have an erection lasting 4 hours then my wife is the one that will require medical attention.

It isn't very common. I've seen about every medical condition (or those listed in a patient's medical history) imaginable, and I still have never seen Priapism. But I understand it is more commonly caused by spinal injury (and penile abuse/trauma) than using ED drugs.
