Should Adults Have the Right to Carry a Concealed Handgun?

^^^ totally agree. Thugs can carry guns like there badasses why can't we. If I knew that punk kid or guy at club coming at me was going to fight fair, I would have no problem taking my ass whopping if he was a better man. but if he is coming at me with a 38 I want my 45 ready

Absolutely, provided they are responsible, sane individuals.
There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...

Hell yes. Provisos as stated above.
Absolutely. I carry almost every where I go
This is my rifle this is my gun.
Of course I have the right.

Of course not.
It's not fair to those unsuspecting criminals who break into your house who would otherwise rob you blind, rape your wife, child or kill you. It's not fair to the wana be carjackers or street thugs. How are they expected to make a living or support their drug addiction if they cant easily intimidate people?
Speaking of carjacking; ever since I saw this done I have wanted one and also want to opportunity to use it. Yes I'm a sadistic bastard.

. I carried for 5 years until one time i was in a postion i should of left but didnt because i was carrying. Almost had to use it against 4 men infront of my daughter. I stopped carrying that night.
They do it in Texas now, and its one of the safest states in the union.
I've always tell people...."You never wanta be that guy standing there wishing he had a gun." - slfmade
^^^^ truth! I'd rather have it and not need it than need it and not have it!!
Thugs don't care about laws and what not. They will do whatever it takes to obtain a gun/weapon. Just look at what our wonderful govt did with the Fast and Furious dealOriginally Posted by Derekjpapa
Absolutely..if you say no move to Chicago or NYC where its pretty much impossible to own a handgun in the city and see how safe you feel walking around
Im curious how do you americans feel when you go on International holidays and your not allowed to bring your guns? Do you feel unsafe? Edgy? Or does it feel wired that you feel safer in other countries with no gun than you do in your own with a ar15?
I agree with so many thoughts here. It's hard to know where to start. Every one should have the right to defend them selfs and there loved ones and if need be the people around them from serious bodily harm of any kind.
I recently had a heated debate with some one .heres the scenario your two story home is broken into your. Down stairs your family is up stairs. I say the intruder will be shot by me on the first floor of the home. The person I'm arguing with . Says if the intruder breaks in the front I have a quick egress out the back. And that's what I should do . Even though my family is upstairs . Oh my ****ing god. It was like talking to a wall. The law is written so that if I was home ALONE I can leave if I have SAFE exit . Who has the say over what I feel is safe. And leaving my family up stairs is not an option. I'm rambling now.
I have pulled a gun twice in civilian life... one time an idiot was in my living room at 3 am and the second time a dude high on drugs was threatening to kill everyone in my building. Guns takes lives, but they also save lives.
If I had my way, I'd carry everywhere to every country. I'm not an American (my wife is a naturalized American, I'm still a Canadian citizen). I've never had to draw down on anyone - and I really hope I never have to. Second, if I'm out in a situation where drawing a gun becomes a near last option, I'm hopeful the appearance of the weapon would cause an assailant to retreat. Third, if no alternative exists other than to discharge one or more rounds, I hope I have the awareness of mind to fire a non lethal shot. A lethal shot would IMO be the last resort. Unfortunately, many of us in that situation would simply react and fire the weapon as a survival instinct without thinking to maim/injure first.Originally Posted by Euroholic
Interesting stat, only 20% of people brandishing a firearm could shoot another human (so I've heard). Our natural instinct is to FLEE, not stay and fight.
Likely one of two possible options. First you say it ("ah sh1t", then you do it. LolOriginally Posted by kelkel
When I drew both times, it was cocked and loaded with hydroshock ammo (don't want it going through and killing an innocent person)
Both times, the dudes decided they were needed somewhere else. The second guy turned really pale for a black dude and apologized to me 2 weeks later.
Both times, I am glad I had my .40
Up here in the Dakotas either you're carrying or you have one in the vehicle guaranteed 1 out of 5 adults are ready to defend themselves with a gun if needed.
I might need to get a pair of those for my HAW. We have a shot gun and .45 conceal-mounted to the bed frame.
These might be a nice addition.![]()
No. Normal people act on fear. fear is not always right. so no.
anyone supporting guns in you're home protecting you're family I have no objection, on the street pull and fire or don't. either way I hope you got the front to back it up if it jams. I hate guns, A lot.
