I'm wondering how long other people workout for compared to myself. I typically do 60 minutes a day often split 30/30 to fit in with my job. I'll also typically mix it up like biceps in morning and triceps at lunch.

I usually lift 5 days of the week and spend about 1.5-2 hours in the gym each time. I lift and then do thirty minutes of steady state cardio. On the off days I will usually do 30 minutes of hiit or if I'm feeling worn down, I'll just take the whole day off.
I work from home and have a flexible schedule and get plenty of rest so I usually feel pretty good even though I don't take many days completely off.
About 1-1.5hours I spend in the gym. Working out 5x a week.
When I am cutting, about 1.5-2 hours depending on cardio because cardio is from 30-50 minutes. When bulking, 1-1.5 hours. I go to the gym 5-6 days a week. I go to the gym after work, so I don't really have time constraints.
45 minutes to an hour
1-1.5h
1.5-2 hours, depending on cardio
Generally:
1hr + cardio (intensity and duration fluctuate) for upper body workouts.
2hr for leg day.
1hr WT, 5 days a week. 30 minutes cardio 4 days a week.
I always thoughtspending more than an hour in the gym was just a waste
1 - 2.5 hours. (My cardio is my ab routine.)
1.5 hours 3 days a week a day of hiit on one day. Sometimes I don't get to the Hiit day.
35-40 minutes of HIT. That does not count warmup or getting everything set up. Once I start, I try to keep it less than 1-2 minutes between sets and move from one exercise to the next without a break.
I usually spend 1-1.5 hours each time in the gym, lifting only, 5-6 days a week.
It's not a waste, if it takes 1.5 hours to finish your workout than its better to finish your workout then cut it short. Some people will say that over an hour is a waste because Cortisol, the stress hormone, is released if you spend more than an hour lifting.
Depends on what type of workout you're doing.
When I was doing 1-2 muscle groups (ie chest and tris, back & bis) actual lifting took about 50 minutes
To mix it up lately I have been doing a legs/push/pull workout and that takes about 1.15 of actual lifting, I usually spend 5-10 mins with warmup.
When I was younger I was more intense, far more sets and less rest, I still think 2 - 3 hours. Before a power lifting comp that used to be twice a day for a month before the comp. I rested 5 days then competed. After comp at least 10 days off.
Now I tend to rest longer between sets. I still go heavy as much as possible. Just spend a little more time warming up.
Good luck all.
John
