How much mass is attainable each year?

Hi all, I have a question for you all which can have a lot of variables but I was hoping I could get rough estimate.

I'm nearing the end of cutting start weight 104KG and this Monday was my 10th week and im down at 94kg hoping to get to 90-91kg by week 16.

My question is when I'm happy with my bf and decide it's time to go back the other way with a lean "bulk" staying between 10-14% bf how much LBM is attainable each year?

    My stats are 6FT 5"
    Age 19.

For you since you are 19yo and T is at high levels, if all goes well 15lbs first year.

After that it will reduce to between 5-10lbs. Give or take.

However there is no reason why you cannot gain muscle and lose body fat at the same time.

The increase in calories required to put on 15lbs of lean muscle are 150-300 calories/ day increase above your base line.

I see fat asses at the gym all the time taking about how "Im on bulking phase," no definition, big gut, yea ok man if that's their thing.......

The body can only build so much muscle so fast all extra calories get stored as fat.

Just add an extra meal to your day and that should be sufficient.

Side note: If you are on gear, which you should not be, the rules dont apply.

Thank you for the reply, this question was based on a natural year with just diet and gym 6 days a week, so if I was to go off monthly weigh ins I could gain bout 1-2lbs a month of muscle?

    Weight is irrelevant.

Bf% is where all the action is.

As you gain muscle mass and lose body fat your weight will stay the same.

However you will definitely see a difference in the mirror.

The amount of lean muscle mass gained per month can vary.

Your lifting program is also very important. How you train will dictate your gains.

So while you are going through a lean mass phase you would just use mirror and bf percentages not weight? What bf percentages do you float between ?

I dont bulk/cut. I try to stay lean year round if possible, <15%.

Right now Im somewhere around <10%

You wont know exactly unless you get water submerged but you can use bf% picture estimates as a fairly good idea.

Weight fluctuates so much its not a good guide. Like I said earlier for you 1lb lean muscle/month average. However when you weigh yourself you will see weight fluctuate 1-5lbs.

The mirror is my best friend.

Keep protein intake high, and reduce calories in carbs and fats. That will allow you to continue building muscle and reducing body fat at the same time.

"reduce calories in carbs and fats" not eliminate. carbs and fat are still very important IMO.

    -Cheers
