    High Calorie Protein with Cycle?

    I am 49 years old. 5'7" 209lbs.
I have been training and doing cycles since my early 20s. Sometimes, 1 cycle a year, sometimes 2 cycles per year for 90 days per cycle.

Last summer, I came down with Pneumonia and at that time, decided to give my body a rest. Boy did I. No training, eating anything in sight and snacking on everything.

Still have muscular definition but put on a gut that makes me look 6 months pregnant.

Anyways, I will start training again very soon. Come June, start a cycle of Test. En and Tren En for 90 - 120 days.
I will also start a very strict diet like I have used in the past summers.

I have protein that is for Mass with 860 calories & 53 grams of protein per serving.
If I use this high calorie protein with a strict diet, am I going to have trouble getting rid of the gut?

Any, literally ANY protein powder claiming super high caloric intake is likely packed with garbage and would be counterproductive.

Consider getting down to about 1 month pregnant vs. 6 months before you cycle anything.

    Good luck.

This is a very famous brand of protein that you all know. I have used this manufacturer for years with great results. Of course, high calorie when trying to pack it on, not take it off. Just looked at the label, don't know about garbage.
I just wonder if I am being counter-productive by using this protein while getting strict on my diet to lose the gut.

You need to worry mostly about hitting your macro's. If you aren't concerned about the type and quality of those macro's then that's ok.

You can name the brand and product buddy so please do.

That that we weren't suppose to name the brand. Ok, if I am not suppose to, please go ahead and forgive me and delete this.
My favorite brand is MuscleTech. The product is Mass-Tech.

For me that's the most overhyped, over marketed and overpriced brand there is. With the exception of maxi muscle in the UK.

So, there is no breakdown of the carb content but the first 2 carb ingredients, and therefore the main compounds, are sugars.

Want my opinion? Ditch it. Save your money. Make your own out of some of the following and you have a cheaper, healthier option that you can tailor exactly to your requirements.

    Whey
    Casein
    Cottage cheese
    Bananas
    Berries
    Blended oats
    Coffee
    Natty peanut butter
    Almond milk
    Stevia if required

Or any other natural ingredient that you can think of.

But what I am saying is that I already have these left over from last year.
So, if I use them, will they keep me from losing the gut?

That all depends in your total calorie and macro intake not on your choice of meal replacement.

Only thing I was going to say was I agree about the 1month pregnant vs 6month pregnant bit before running the cycle. And also he says he will BEGIN to train very soon and run a cycle in June? That's what, less than 2months of lifting????

Yes, but please remember. I know that I can accomplish a lot in 2 months. I have been training since my late teens and doing different cycles since my early twenties. Muscle memory and if my diet is very strict, I can do it. Once again, I just wonder about using this particular protein during that time.

I would suggest a leaner source of protein if I were trying to cut the gut. Like others have mentioned, you can fit it into your macros we all know that just because it fits doesn't mean it is the best way.
