Dutasteride is a new drug, it is not FDA approved for alopecia. But some studies indicate being superior to finasteride as it blocks type 1 and 2 of the enzyme 5-alfa-redutase (which is responsible for the DHT conversion), finasteride only blocks the type 2 enzyme.~
If you decide to take finasteride don't take more than 1mg ED, maybe even 0,5mg is as effective as higher dosages.
