GI extremely likely has no place in bodybuilding nutrition.

OP: the GI index is only useful for diabetics and pre-diabetics. Glycemic load supersedes in importance bc rarely do we eat carbs in isolation. We usually combine them with proteins and/or fats. Protein, dietary fat, and fiber will all slow digestion rates making the actual glycemic index of an individual food irrelevant.
