    Austinite - Glycemic Index ...

Would you, or anyone who's up on diets, say it has a place in determining meals?

GI extremely likely has no place in bodybuilding nutrition.
Links below are from Lyle McDonald, Alan Aragon, Eric Helms, Brad Schoenfeld respectively.
These are all experts, and Aragon's article references a lot of studies.

Great post and very useful links.

OP: the GI index is only useful for diabetics and pre-diabetics. Glycemic load supersedes in importance bc rarely do we eat carbs in isolation. We usually combine them with proteins and/or fats. Protein, dietary fat, and fiber will all slow digestion rates making the actual glycemic index of an individual food irrelevant.
