Why do people Fail with their nutrition and diet?

Just curious with all the diets and great nutritional advice we get, what are some peoples downfall for not achieving the results they want? Just looking to how others respond to this and what good insight other can give that will give those trying to diet right reassurance that they are more then likely on the right track. That mental state of mind to keep on tract or to do whats needed for goals.

    Could it be-
    1) Lack of patience to stick out the diet plan, Fat loss takes time and isn't always the most noticeable at the beginning especially with the higher fat percentage people. People want fast results, its in our nature, but how long is to long also before needing to make adjustments to a meal plan. 3 month, 6 months, year?
    2) The will power to eat the right foods? The boring routine of eating certain foods?
    3) The struggle and frustration with how fat loss happens? I know that fat doesn't always come off where you want it too the most at first. With me, I lose it on the love handles first, but not the for a bit belly causing me to have an awkward appearance and actually making my belly look bigger at first until fat starts to come off belly.
    4) Is it just that most people are stubborn and have no idea how to diet?
    5) Or great diet, but horrible workout routine?
    6) I'm sure others reasons

Just seeing what others think is the most likely reason why people fail with nutrition even though I am sure a lot of these of these can apply at once. Getting down to that 10% bf can be harder then people realize if they are not realistic.

For me it was 1 and 4 and I set unrealistic goals.
I always thought I have to suffer this horrible diet just this once for 3-6 months and lose all the fat.
And that muscles are hiding behind the fat and I'll be shredded as phuck and then I can go live my life normally.
Calories were always too low, I gave it my all (for 1-3 months), results weren't there, and I just binged back to where I was.
You can only go crazy on your body for a little while, but not your whole life.
Now I know I have to have a balanced and manageable diet for life. Diet is for life, not for 3 or 6 months.
Small changes, small deficit, small surplus, long term goals. It has to be mostly effortless, imo.
If there's no wagon, you can't fall off, nomsayin?

    Those damn genetics!

And I hear what you are saying. I think most people have the mind set they will diet to get this lean trim build and then after that just maintain in some unknown hopeful way. It is life style change when it comes to your nutrition. But I will say that results from dieting is also what motivates me. It is amazing to see what changes you can make if you are strict. Its definitely a fine balance.

The main downfall I see is lack of discipline sticking to a nutrition plan or the daily macros

Sometimes keeping track of your macros can get to be a chore.

Not to mention trying to eat clean with all those damn fattening foods cravings.

Alcohol throws my diet off the most! Partying every weekend and trying to stay lean doesn't really work.. But my bulk is coming in nicely I'm happy with it.

My weight loss issues were due to

    1. Medical condition (Super Low Test)
    2. Fatigue from medical condition
    3. Zero results from working out due to medical condition.

After correcting number one my list is:

    1. Eating 5-6 meals a day clean and proper is time consuming. 30-minutes to prepare a meal and eat...that is 3 hours a day. Lift for 2. Swim for 4. Jog between venues 2...we at 11 and I haven't done hygene or SHOPPED for the meals.

    2. Carb sensitivity of my body. At times my body will not want carbs beyond trace carbs from veggies for 4-5 days. Then on the weekend (my recoup time) it will not shut up for the carbs. I use carb cycling now (logic to make me feel normal for my condition) but it is a beast to control on the weekends. I saw those articles on the Rock and how he would eat like 5 medium pizzas on his cheat day...was like..yeah right whatever. Now I see it is not BS lol but you still have to control it so as to go under maintenance.

Finding TRT was like getting the Genie lamp from Aladdin to me. Changed my life.
