Thread: Injection technique right or wrong?

  1. #1

Question Injection technique right or wrong?

    Hi pals,

I started injecting myself with B12 (methylcobalamin).
Reason for these injections is to get an idea of how injecting stuff into your body actually feels and learn how to do it.

I injected 4 times and every time a little b12 leaked out, even though I ued the Z-track injection technique.
What am I doing wrong, does this happen to everyone or is it because b12 is water based?

I am using 25G - 1 inch needles and inject in my vastus lateralis.

Are you injecting slow giving it plenty of time to absorb?

That's a good point centrainly not 10 seconds.

Is injecting at 10 seconds per ml and 10 seconds before removing the needle neccesary?

How do you go about it?

LOL typical newbie mistake. I take 1 minute per ml or cc.

I love this little experoment. Take some cooking oil or even water. Now fill the syringe and point it toward the sky and press the plunger with the same force you do when its in you. Remember there is more resistence so it should only take about 1/2 the time to press in.

How far did it just shoot up into the sky? Now where do you think that is going inside of your muscle? Now do you know the reason most people get PIP, a bruise why it hurts for days after injection? You just slammed all that oil into your muscle at 90 mph.

1 minute of time to inject or 10 seconds & 2-3 days of pain. You decide which is better.

I would disagree that that leads to pip, but I've been wrong before, many times.

I should say a lot of what people say is PIP is probably due to how they inject and not necessarily due to high levels of BA like they think. You read a lot of people getting pip just from Test E 200mg/ml and I bet most of the pain is from injecting to fast.

    And poor technique.
