20 year old first cycle opinions

I am 20 years old (21 in March)
165 lbs
5'8
training for 5 years (all years were serious, no breaks, but have perfected training/nutrition in the past year only)

So i have been conflicted on whether or not to begin AAS at my age. The consensus is that one should be 24-25, but really, whats the problem with a couple year head start? Risk of HPTA shutdown? Unlikely, ive seen numerous 20-21 year olds cycle and have their hormones return back to 100% normal 2-3 months after PCT. What is your opinion, should i cycle?

I am planning on doing blast/cruise once i hit around 30-35 since my natty test will start dropping anyway. I def would do TRT around 40 so why not blast/cruise and have fun for 10 extra years. So the whole "trt for life" bs doesnt really bother me.

What are the other negatives to starting at my age?

PCT: begins 2 weeks after last injection

I don't know that much about that but I do know it can caus eproblems whihc won't kick in for a few years. My buddy went on tren at 20 and he's 22 now and his tets levels never fully restored even though he PCT'd properly.

I do know that for first cycle, test e is the way to go but I'd wait a bit

you are going to get a lot of no no's on here dude. You are WAYYYY to young to start that stuff. I'm almost 36 and I still don't want to start it because I don't know what it might do to my natural levels. I'm at 870 on my total test which is fine with me. Do more leg work to bring your levels up or if you already do... I ride a recumbent bike that has increased my test about 140 ng/dl.

There are a lot more risks than just shutting down your HPTA, but hey your almost 20, you know everything. There is a reason people are told to wait until they are 25. You still have not reached your genetic potential at your age. But why not cheat and start AAS early and get a "couple year head start."

Why would you need to know what others think. Everyone here is going to say the same thing, dont run AAS at your age. Spend money on food and other things.

BTW you would want to use hcg at 250u twice a week not 5000u and run it the whole cycle. And if you want to get girls knocked up then run the hmg.

Everybody comes in here prefacing the claim, "well my buddy did this and he is fine" or "a friend of a friend of a friend.....and they are ok". People are biased towards evidence that supports a decision in your own mind. This board is littered with kids your age who ran perfect cycles at your age and then struggled with erectile dysfunction, depression, fatigue/lethargy/somnolence, arthralgia, myalgia, muscle loss, and more.

I've been in medicine for 18 years and I've seen my share of guys your age completely mess themselves up. So for every guy you can point out is fine, I can point out 3 or 4 who weren't so lucky.

Ask any guy who is on TRT, if the had the choice would they rather have high natural levels or have a prescription refilled every few months just to feel normal. Nobody wants to be on TRT. It's a medical necessity not a goal to strive for.

There are many dangers of cycling. I'll let the other members educate you. Most will not support or encourage steroid use at your age.

The price will only go up and soon no insurance will cover any of it at all. Then you have to give blood at the doctor and that is a cost. Why would anyone look forward to going on trt?

^^^Exactly. He just doesn't know what he's asking for. At 38 my natty levels were 183 and I had NEVER used steroids in my life. TRT is NOT by choice and it shouldn't be.

Op ill start off by saying looks like you have a good base. Keep up the good work. With that being said theres something i dont think your thinking of. You said the whole trt for life doesnt bother you? Well im on trt for life, and i will be honest that thought should bother you!! You do realize its not as easy as just taking ashot every week and your fine, right? Have you seen all the post on this site of frustrated trt patients. I myself was one. It took along time before i felt right. Heres what i have to take just to feel normal. 160mg test awk split in 2 shots, 750iu of hcg split in 3 shots, .25 adex taken m,w,f. And 100mg of dhea and pregnolone split into 2 doses. Also some guys never get dialed in right. Took me years!!

^Same here. Before I started TRT, my test levels were 187 and I hadn't taken anything hormonal (steroids/prohormones) to cause the issue.

The injections get old my friend, plus the cost of medications. Sometimes my mind starts to wander too far, but I was thinking the other day how terrible it would be if for some reason I couldn't get testosterone anymore now that my body needs it. So many things in our body now depends on this medication. Most people think about the here and now (12 week cycle), but fail to think after your cycle is over.

OP, you have a nice base. Keep building naturally from there.

No one is guaranteed a come back. Cycled 3 times test only. I have yet to come back my pituitary isnt functioning poperly. Endo doc thinks its a done deal. Good thing I already had my 2 sons.

I am here to enhance my life, the safe way. I did not know trt was such a bitch, i will look into it, so i thank u guys for that.
Im here to learn from vets, not hear what i want to know. another forum had a totally different approach than u guys, almost all the dudes said my base was good and i was ready, thats why i came here for a 3rd opinion. I will not start AAS until a couple more years

Just because you your system returns to normal after pct doesn't mean you are out of the woods.Many times its a year or 2 down the road when the trouble starts.

Some people tend to be a bit abrasive on here. There are times I'm sure I have as well. This usually stems from the young looking for a quick "fix", who lack proper nutrition, education and training experience. This is bad practice because it starts a trend where everyone "under age" gets the lecture. You are young, yes. But at least in your case, you have a strong base and appear to have done some research and are approaching it properly.

Does that mean you are good to go? Truthfully man, only you can make that call. Its a risk now and it will be a risk later. The only difference is that now, you still have A LOT of growing (physically and emotionally) and life learning to go through. I look back to when I was 20 and man, so many things change. I'm glad I didn't make any more serious mistakes than I did. Especially ones that would affect me later in life.

I can't tell you yes or no. I can only tell you to take the decision very seriously and weigh all the risk vs. the rewards. The best thing is, there is no rush. You have a ton of time ahead of you.

What about them? Maybe they will, maybe they won't. What does or doesn't happen to them is no guarantee of what will or will not happen to you. You can't take one or two examples of people and assume the same for yourself. Why not look at examples of guys your age who screwed themselves up and assume that will be the same way you turn out?

Your aren't the first young man to reference Lloyd or Seid and you won't be the last. For awhile, Azyz (or whatever the heck his name was) was the reference for guys your age.

I played hockey for 16 years but never made it to the NHL? Why not, Gretzky did, why not me? I've had two businesses but haven't made as much money as Donald Trump. Why not????

It's great to have people that you emulate but realize that you are not them. Their success is not a guarantee of yours. Did all the kids in school get exactly the same grades? Why not? They took the same classes from the same instructors??? See how silly all of that sounds?

I am 22 and started researching a while ago to start my first cycle. I have no hurries, and I am glad to see posts like these.
Trying to keep up at natural pace, though not satisfied, still working hard.
