Stats and recommendations? Body fat percentage for age?

Hey all...hopefully this is in the right place to ask these questions. I've been lurking around this site and a few other forums for quite a while, reading up on a ton of information and trying to make sure I can get this right. I'm 41, 5'10", 190, been working out for the past year (after taking a break) and looking to get some gains using gear. Going to do a cycle of test e, dbol with a pct plan. The question I have is my body fat percentage is 19% and I'm feeling that may be too high? My diet has been clean and I'm getting in cardio with my workouts, but I'm wondering if I'm ever going to drop down my percentage with this alone? Is it recommended for me to wait or should I go ahead with my cycle? My concern is potential to bloat up with water weight, especially since I'm planning to use dbol for the first 4 weeks. I'm open to any advice, would really appreciate some help from those who have experience and have been down this road. Thanks.

I would recommend a plain old test e cycle as a first one. Keep it simple whenever possible is my motto. I would lower it a little more to say 16% or better. How long have you been trying to get that fat percentage down? If you're not seeing results over a few weeks/months then you're doing something wrong. I'm not harping on you, your post just seemed to indicate that you've been trying for awhile to no avail.

I've been trying to get the % down for some time, I keep going back and forth on when to start a cycle. I'm leaning toward giving it a couple more weeks to see if I can get that percentage down so I don't end up looking like the Michelin man with muscles lol.

Well if you have been struggling for some time and are still at 19% then there is a serious diet issue you need to uncover and address. Figuring your diet out first will not only be safer, but allow you to get more out of a future cycle.

Spend some time in the nutrition forums and figure that out, at 19% it should be fairly easy.

Whats your plans for this cycle? Dropping bf or adding mass, if u are adding mass that equals more cals=fat gain as well, with 19% bf u will probs be pushing in the mid 20% bf range then u will have to chop even more bf, I woukd personally chop down to 12 to 10% bf then bulk off that then u will never get past 15 to 16% bf causing u to look like the michelan man

I would say keep dropping your BF to under 15%. This will take some time but it will be worth it and you will be able to decide if you want to bulk or cut.
