Red blood cells referred to phlebotomist .

Three weeks ago I had my check up with routine blood work red blood cells were at 55 . I was told to donate double rbc to help lower it. I felt better almost as soon as it was done. Had numbers rechecked docs office called today said still to high. Referring me to a phlebotomist . Do I talk to him about my steroid use. ?

don't be fooled. ANYTHING you say to your doc will become a part of your permanent medical record. Do NOT tell him about your AAS use!

go here, find another blood drive, and do another 2x RBC donation.

And while you are at it, after you donate, start aspirin therapy. one baby aspirin (80mg) a day makes blood less "sticky" and reduces the problems and risks associated with high RBC

I am surprised Red Cross took your blood! my RBC were normal but my hemoglobin was a tad higher than normal, they rejected me and put me on the black list! what state you live in?

I plan on doing my regular donation at Delta blood (a permenant blood donation center) and red cross (a variable mobile donation drive), and between the two, I'll be donating every six weeks.

RBC was a tad higher than normal and my hemoglobin was around 18.3, not that high but was rejected from 2 or 3 places! then I did self bleeding, got my levels in normal range, then found another company and donated with no problems. I live in Cali, bunch of pvssies here!

according to Austinite they have a national data base, but I believe its not meant to monitor or to access for background checks, so you are safe to donate once a month if you need to using different blood drive companies.

No delta here and when I search for blood donation companies Red Cross fills the Page.
If I had two company's that would be a perfect rotation,
And as I stated before giving a double red was amazing I feel great. And it's kind odd because I felt good before .

Strange. I'm 200 miles north of you and had no problem the first time I donated-hgb=19.3.

All I can see here in central CA is red cross when I google blood drives. Someone figure this out I want to donate every 6 weeks.
