Steroid Cycle to regain lost strength after injury question

    Hi guys,

About 10 months ago I broken a bone in my hand which kept me out of training for 4 months due to numerous complications. Being out the gym for so long meant I lost a heck of a lot of my strength (around 50-60% off my lifts first day back in the gym) and even after 6 months of hard training, good diet and good rest (I've gained ~6lbs of muscle this year) I cannot recover my lost strength (currently around 25-40% down depending on lift).

I was wondering if anyone has used steroids in a manner to recover strength and hopefully retain the strength after cycle? The main goal wouldn't be to gain size. What sort of compounds would be best used and what sort of cycle length would be best to achieve this goal?

I'm more than willing to train naturally to get my strength back (even thought it seems like it is going to take 1 year+) but I'm also very interested in looking at an enhanced way of gaining my strength back as well and really interested to hear if anyone has used steroids in this manner and what level of success they may of had.

Thank you for any replies in advance.

    :-)

Steroids after an injury is usually not recommended. The rapid increase in strength may very well cause further injury as the connections, attachments and medical repairs were not designed to handle that Type of stress load.
Give it some more time and see where it goes and be sure the injury is 100% healed before starting anything.

Hi fit2bold - thanks for the reply

The hand itself seems to be fine with everything I thrown at it - I don't get any pain or difficulties with it in the past 6 months. It just seems that after the time I had to sit out training has left the rest of my body very weak and recovery in strength is very slow. Im very surprised at this because the injury wasn't really anything major - it wasn't like a muscle tear or a major bone.
