syringe and dosing questions

So I'm doing my hcg daily with a 30g insulin syringe. No problems there.
On Mondays and Thursday are my test shots. .375ml

So I'm loading the hcg first, then the test (same syringe)

I pull in 100iu of hcg, then I pull in my test. Here's where my question comes in.

Since we're talking oil vs water base, they stay separated. So for a while, I've just assumed when I get to .475ml I'm done.

But today, when I drew the test and total volume went to. .475, I noticed the test was only at about the .300ml line.

I understand that you don't get everything out that you draw. But am I under dosing by drawing to .475ml total volume? Or am I over dosing my drawing the test to the .375 line?

Seems like it would be much easier to draw the oil in first, then the water.

Not so much it's pretty easy to draw.

Problem is, even if I did it the other way I'd be having the same question, except it would be the hcg I would be asking about

Scientifically speaking, volume is volume. Believe the numbers. If your syringe is filled to where it should be, you are getting the correct dose. If you are concerned with a little air getting inside, pull a little more of either one. That's what I do. IMO, it won't make that much of a difference.

Here's my thought, when you load to .375 you still have the volume in The needle but you also don't push it all out. So there's a slight waste.
With the hcg behind the test, there's no test left in the needle after the inject.

So I guess I answered my own question. If you draw in .375 to make .475 total volume (as marked on the barrel) I'll get the proper amount of test, but the test will not get to the .375 line on the barrel.

I over complicated things. And took a higher dose then supposed to yesterday. Whoops

If you want to get everything out of the syringe - needle and all - after you pull your dose, pull in an air bubble. When you invert the syringe to inject, the bubble rises. When you inject, the air pushes everything out. I do this.

Try this just to see: Next time you inject, take that empty syringe and pull some air into it, then push down the plunger to see the actual "waste". I'll bet you can't notice any.
