I tried mine on pregnancy test strip it came up positive , i also had subsequent hcg blood test which came up high

Pregnancy tests almost never give a false positive, however, they can give a false negative. Pregnancy tests just test for the presence of HCG, which is why you can use them to see if your HCG is still good.
