Just getting back into Weighlifting. Its been 6 years and 375 pounds

    Hello,
I am looking to gain some knowledge about using Steroids for injuries, treatment, and if they can be used for weight loss. I have almost ZERO knowledge and I'm really wanting to be educated on these matters.

Before I experienced consecutive injuries in the military I was decently strong and fit. After my last injury, I said to hell with it all. That was 6 years ago. Now I have decided to start doing what I love and what I grew up with, Weightlifting.

I can not afford to take off work to have knee surgery, so I'm looking to other ways to treat my knee until I can have surgery in a year or so. A training partner/friend said he heard anabolic steroids can help. Is this true???? Also, can steroids help with losing weight?

    Welcome to the board mate.

Specific questions should be asked in the specific sub forum, like the Q&A section. And no, taking steroids to lose a ton of weight is a terrible idea for so many reasons.

    Good luck!

Welcome to the forums, steroids for weight loss isn't the best route to take. Trust me, you can seriously lose weight from dieting properly and cardio. I personally can only walk on the treadmill for cardio because of a spinal fusion but doing 45-60 minutes walking on the treadmill plus about 45 minutes of weightlifting 5x per week combined with a pretty solid nutrition plan I've dropped from 238-186 in 9 months, and put on a lot of muscle. Just browse the forums for information on dieting and cutting with cardio.
