How can I make rice taste better?

I eat two cups of white rice a day as one of my carb. sources but it gets old fast.... its gotten to the point where i put a spoon full in and just rinse it down with my drink. Anyone have some good tips on how to add some flavor and make it more edible? Im not on a cut... more like a year round bulk lol. I love fried rice but I dont believe it would be a healthy choice.

Make it with low sodium broth instead of water. You can also add in onions and peppers. I love rice this way.

I'll mix in some barbeque sauce in with my chicken and rice. Makes it far more palatable.

you can added shredded coconut (if you like coconut of course), onions, bell peppers, can of rotel, garlic, beef broth, chicken broth, duck stock, fish stock, shrimp paste, plantains, and a lot of other spices.

    The simple answer is butter...lol
In all seriousness just add what ever is within your diet parameters to make it edible. Sometimes we have to eat just for fuel and not the taste.

i know you asked for suggestions to improve the taste of rice because you're getting bored, but you could also use alternate carb sources to add variety - like oatmeal, brown rice, quinoa...

fried rice is likely to be high in fat.

They have this rice in Louisiana that tastes like buttered movie popcorn, I am dead serious. It's so delicious just regularly cooked. What's weird is, the people who grow it don't like it, they prefer the mahatma bologna. It smells amazing when it's cooking.
