Returning Member - after long hiatus!

From Georgia but located in Washington State Now - haven't been on this site for about 8 years, wanted to introduce myself again and hopefully get some help from some more experienced members.

When I first joined this site, I was in the military (2006), and well life kept me pretty busy, including a tour in Iraq in which I was wounded, which is a big part of why I'm posting here - my injuries make it difficult to put on muscle in my upper body. This is due to nerve damage in my arms that results in reduced grip strength, numb and tingly hands and arms after much of a workout, and severe cramping in my forearms. On top of this, my workouts are further limited as I get migraines frequently as a result of head injuries from being wounded in Iraq. I can do light upper body workouts, but that's not enough to obtain anywhere near the results I'm looking for - I don't want to be huge or bulky even.

I've come back here because I'm increasingly frustrated with my inability to get my upper body back into shape, put on muscle - to be healthy, and well be comfortable taking my shirt off, etc. This never used to be an issue before being wounded as my army buddies and myself always kept it great physical shape. I've tried physical therapy, but with the nerve damage there wasn't much that could be done. My doctor has pretty much told me to live with it, and I've consulted more than a few. I have several friends who are bodybuilders who've tried to help, but again it's a difficult prospect.

Coming here, I was hoping to find out some information, hopefully from some veteran members, if there is anything they might recommend to help me build up my upper body again. I'm open to anything to be honest, I've been working with health professionals for years now who have been very unhelpful - and well, I thought maybe it's time for a new approach. I eat healthy and do cardio regularly. I've talked about AAS with my doctor, but he is simply unwilling to even consider that route. At this point I honestly don't know what to do, and I'm very open to suggestions. I'm not looking to get huge - I just want to be back to my old self. I don't know what substances I could/should be looking into to help at this point, so I would really love all the advice I can get.

If you're someone who's willing to talk ideas or anything with me, please send me a PM, I promise I'll get back to ya right away. This is something I just can't put off any longer, I'm mentally and physically prepared, just need some help.

Thanks Everyone! PM me with any advice, suggestions, or just to say hello!
