Hard core gyms are few and far between these days. I've been in my basement for 10 years now but I do miss the sights and sounds of a good gym...just don't miss the shit heads....

Well, it also depends on what you consider motivational

More of these would do just fine for me

    hey

    that reminds me.

I went in for a car wash today, in line, and passing the parking spots (very slowly). some lady was bent over vacuuming her car. she had on a skin tight mini skirt, and was at it for thirty seconds or so.

...and of course, I had my sunglasses on, so no way in hell she could possibly think I was staring...........

Doesnt it just make you want to watch them and when they put the phone down on a bench or the floor to actually do a set you walk by and accidentally drop a 100 lb dumbbell on it by accident?

I honestly blame a lot of gyms for changing their environment. More money for them but sucks for us that actually try to respectably work on ourselves. I live in LA and have to drive 45min-1hr one way to find a gym that actually has a good number of squat racks. Sometimes you gotta go that distance to get in the proper environment. Or just grab 3-4 of your tren-iest homies and takes over a 24.

The thing I like about 24 hr fitness is you can go at 2am and have the place to yourself. I do better there that late as people tend to be too much of a distraction for me. That and I can't stand waiting to use a bench.

if you want a hard core gym, I'm thinking pick one that doesn't have

    *swimming pool
    *basket ball court
    *aerobics room

    oh wait!

    that's MY gym!

Sorry to hear you lack of motivation.
My gym is for the most part filled with guys dedicated to strength and getting huge. It's good not a lot of folk chilling on benches any more

I don't think 24hr spends much on maintenance. proof is in the restrooms

    shame

they sure spend a lot on all those fukken TV's all over the place.

I wonder how much it would cost between 4 or 5 guys to buy enough gym equipment and rent a small space to store/use it.

From the sounds of it, I bet most of us wish this were an option.
