Injection Prep - Atomizer vs. swab

Peronally, I spray on alcohol instead of swabbing it on to sanitize the injection area.

So how many use this

I use alcohol gel on my hands before i touch anything and swab area before pin.

I always swab but I can see how the spray would be better. Can you get the spray at any Pharmacy?

You need to swab. Alcohol doesn't kill everything with brief contact. So what the swab does (if you use the proper technique), is manually sweep the germs away from the injection site.

I do both

Clean paper towel fairly soaked in alcohol. Or just swab sometimes

That's all I use. 2 cotton balls for vials. 2 for the area. 2 for area after the pin.

I wash everything down with a healthy dose of 91% isopropyl & microfiber cloth.

Then I hit the vial and the injection site with those alcohol prep swabs.

I like to overkill when it comes to this stuff.

I pin after getting out of the shower. fairly clean already, and the spray I let stay on til almost dry. it does it's job

at the pharm, mate? they are refillable. mine originally had the igf-1 spray in there (from deer antlers). you refill with rubbing alchohol you find in your restroom, right next to your woman's toenail polish remover

I always use alcohol prep pads to swab.

For IM, I use CHG, then providone scrub, then povidone prep. Inject, then alcohol swab.

I work in surgery so I tend to over do the whole "prep" procedures. I've NEVER had any post injection issues though! Lol
