Question about My fitness pal App...

I have messed around with this thing for the last hour. I put in all my info and everything.

    I wanna gain. Well its telling me that I need 1500 cals. I'm 6'5 216...wanna get 226 to 230

I don't put my exercises on the app tho. I know that matter somewhat. How many cals do I need to take in. I was shooting for 4000 been getting 34 to 36 at best on test only cycle now.

So can someone help me out on how many I really need please.

Damn I thought bulking was the easiest out of the two.

I covered this in your last thread? 3600 is good if your TDEE is 3100, more than that if you're not too worried about gaining excess fat..

On myfitnesspal you can just set the calories and macros the way you want it, make sure you set your goals to gain .5 a week, exercise x amount of times a week etc etc.

Yea I know you did and thanks. I started playing with that app and it got me all messed up. Then I started thinking I might have did something wrong. So I was just wondering. I am trying my hardest to do this right.

Thanks for your help. I don't wanna gain to much fat goi mg to stick to 3600 to 3800. Now is that total cals after you workout say you workout you burn 300 cals for example. Does the 38 go to 35 or does it go to 4100. Hope that makes sense. I don't add in my workout on the app.

    Again thanks for your help.

No worries, the TDEE you've got is already set on your activity level, so your exercise is already factoring in the calories used through exercise. So no need to eat extra.

I just eat the same amount of calories daily, no need to micro manage your calories, just make sure your total weekly surplus is what you want it to be (3000-3500) to add a pound.

I have noticed that myfitnesspal is giving incorrect weight estimates when you click the 'Complete This Entry' tab at the bottom of the page. It can be all over the place there, so ignore that part at the bottom.
