Unhappy No improvement of levels after 5 months. Been taking 250mg Test Cyp a week!

My doctor prescribed me Testosterone Cypionate at a dosage of 1.25ml a week (250mg), and I've been taking it regularly for jeez...5-6 months or so now?

I go back every 12 weeks for blood work and my testosterone has yet to go above 300.

My last blood lab came in at 295 for testosterone and 43 for estrogen.

Because of this, they increased my dose to 1.5ml a week and prescribed me Anastrozole tablets at 1mg per week.

They said if it doesn't improve after 90 days, we're going to try other methods.

Have y'all seen anything like this? What could cause my test to stay so low?

I should also mention that my blood was drawn exactly 7 days after my last injection

I would think it should be higher. How do you feel in and out of the gym?

This is odd. What else are you taking besides the Test?? Any drugs? Opiates, weed, anything?

All these things could have an effect on your test level and i remember when i got into an accident a few years ago, they prescribed me an opiate while i was healing for the pain on my back. Anyways, my test dropped to 25 total and my free was like 0. It was crazy seeing what opiates can do to ones Test levels.

Where are you getting your Test C from, pharmacy or compounding? Either way I would suggest trying a different brand or going with Test E. It's rare but your test might be bunk.

I feel stronger actually. And my muscle mass is there. So I don't know?

It's Watson brand (Brown bottle) from Walgreens.

I've read about the opiates, but nope. I'm not taking any other prescriptions or drugs. I was smoking a lot of weed and drinking a lot. In fact the night before my blood was drawn I probably had at least 8 beers. But that wouldn't have this much of a drop would it?

I do drink way too much caffeine and energy drinks. I need to cut back..but I can't see that being related right?

Sounds to me that for whatever reason your test is bunk.

What is your injection protocol? Have you tried injecting every 3.5 days?

Some guys just metabolize test faster and need higher doses and more frequent injections. Oh, and nothing you take or do will have much effect on exogenous test levels.

Are you taking finasteride? That could lower your T levels

No, it raises them (since less test is converting to DHT).

Again, I think you just need to inject twice weekly or get on a longer ester (like Test Undecanoate).
You could prove me right by getting your blood tested 2 days after a shot and coming back with a high reading.

Really??? So it's OK to take Finasteride/Propecia on cycle or HRT? What about if you are natural? I know there are a lot of reports of it causing ED.

While it increases test a bit, it crushes DHT. So yeah, it can cause ED.

What about on cycle or TRT, same possible issue?

I used to run Finasteride all the time. I never had any sides. But during cycles I wouldn't get the hardness I would without it. Haven't used it since I had that realization.

    Not trying to hijack.

Guys I'm back. And I just don't know where else to go. I'm taking 1.5cc of Test Cyp religiously every Sunday. Got blood work done 7 days after an injection...317 was my test level. 317?!?!? Still after all this time? Could it really be that I metabolize that quickly? I have high blood pressure now so it prescribed me HCTZ (Hydrochlorothiazide). It's gone down. I'm at about 144/88 now.

I've been taking Test Cyp for about a year now under my doctor's prescription. I pick up Watson Test Cyp 200mg from Walgreens every time. I'm also taking Anastrozole, but nothing much. He has me on one per week at 1mg.

My estradiol was at 24.7 so ..average I suppose.

Now here's a couple of theories:
    1) I was drinking..a lot. An avg of 6 beers a night 5 nights a week.
    2) My blood results also show very low Vitamin D. Which is random and I don't know why. 11.3ng/mL. I'm told this is can seriously bring testosterone down too. True?

    What are your thoughts gents?

Yes those all can contribute for sure. It's easy to bump up the vit D. Every store carries it. I use liquid form, drops.
Yes cut out or at least cut down the beers. Alcohol has a big effect on Test levels.

You can also ask your doctor to switch you to Test E just to give it a try. No it should not make a difference but every once in a while someone says it makes a difference.

Do you know if your Test C is coming from a big manufactures or compounding pharmacy? Ive heard stories off and on about compounding pharmacies under dosing or filling with oil. Yeah hard to believe but???

Do you get your estrogen (sensitive E2) checked? You might be converting most of it into E2. You dont have to be experiencing negative sides necessarily for this to happen.

Opps, just aw your E2. That was sensitive right? Doesnt look bad, defiantly not high.

In the mean time drop the beers and up the D.
