What is the density of hCG?

Im trying to calculate amounts in milligrams and such but I can't because I don't know the density of this stuff… and for some reason it's really hard to find the answer anywhere.

I've seen two vials both labeled 5000 iu hcg but one is roughly double the volume???? Edit: they are both powders so the difference can't be concentration of powder.

And slightly related: how long can the powder stay unrefrigerated?

It doesn't matter. Lyophilized peptide hormones have such little volume/mass that there is no point in trying to factor it in anywhere. If you're talking about the powder cake's density, that depends on how tightly it was packed.

Yes that's what i'm referring to. I'm looking at two that seem to be just as tightly packed but one is taking up double the space of the other. How could that be possible? This whole "International Units" thing is really confusing. It seems like IU is meaningless and people are just doing 1/10th of whatever they've got and calling it 500 IU

Again, it doesn't matter how big the powder cake looks. Just go by total IUs.
