    Aspirin

    Hi all.

Today I started my first cycle. My question is regarding Aspirin. I've read that there are great benefits to taking a daily dose of 75mg. Naturally there are also risks. I genuinely believe i would benefit from daily aspirin, but I just wanted to see wharf others thought, and whether you take aspirin without the docs say so.

    Cheers

makes blood more slippery, reduces the risk of stroke, etc.

sides includes slower clotting ability. you get a scratch, it bleeds a bit more.

Costco sells baby aspirin 82mg, I don't know... 250? for a couple of bucks

So what is your BP like now?
    Why aren't you medicating it?

    Hi Bonaparte

My doc stopped the m£ds I checked two days ago and was 138/89. I am considering going back next week to discuss it.

correlation between BP and life expectancy.

    correlation, not sure if causality.

I take BP meds all the time, more on cycle.

I don't think there's any question about that. Chronic hypertension destroys your kidneys and causes heart failure, acute hypertension causes strokes.
OP: so long as you aren't at a heightened risk of traumatic injury or GI bleed, aspirin is always a good idea. But go with an enteric coated 81 mg tab daily.

As a caution if you take Ibuprofen, Advil, Tylenol, etc etc they are blood thinners also and perform like Aspirin. Learned this since starting a blood thinner routine for a 20 yr old + blood clot. If you are popping Ibuprofen daily, which most lifters do, Aspirin is an also ran. Just an FYI.
