New Advice in losing weight, get stronger, and back into shape -- 50 years old

So, I figured its time I get serious and get my butt back into shape. I am 50 years old, 5'8" and 227 pounds! My waist is around a 40 to 42. Yikes!! I do not have high blood pressure or any other medical issues. Just the typical sore knees, ankles, joints and such from working hard and being put up wet. Retired from the Army, but still working full time. As you can imagine, I am sluggish, tired, and such. I do travel for work from time to time. I enjoy going to the gym during the day, but I do better if I have somebody to workout with and a plan. As an example, several years back I was working with a trainer, and my max bench was 250 pounds. The only think I was taking during that time frame was pre-workouts.

So... As I looked at my physic and didn't like what I saw, I know I need to get serious. I need to lose most of my weight around my stomach and torso.
I went through the site, and was impressed with what I was seeing. My problem... What the heck to do and start with. I simply want to get young again…. I know, don’t we all. I do not want to do injections, so pills are fine.

I know I have to get my diet fixed too; I do like meat, so that is an issue. Anyway, I am looking to burn Fat (drop weight), I don’t want to add mass weight, but I do want to get strong again and endurance. I would like to get back under 200 pounds. I can go to the gym 5 or 6 days a week, about an hour. I have toi find hotels with a decent gym when traveling.

I am interested in in Clen as a fat burner. I have seen several posts about how to take it. But, what else should I take? I have also looked at Pituitary Growth Hormone (PGH) as a HGH type.

Can somebody provide any suggestions? I know there isn't a magic pill that changes you over night. I do want to get serious about it. You can post here so others can see, or you can message me.

I certainly don't have the experience of other members on this site, but I feel I can safely speak for all when I strongly recommend against taking any AAS or HGH at this time. Mainly because for your current goals, they're completely unnecessary. I can tell you from experience that if your goal is to loose weight, at your current body fat, a cycle now will leave you looking bloated and potentially hamper significant weight loss. What you need to be focusing on is achieving a caloric deficit and a combination of high intensity cardio workouts and lifting. What's your current (or planned) diet and training regime?

Also have you read the marked "IMPORTANT" threads above in this forum and the workout one? I'm happy to give you advice, but all the information you need has been written on in some detail by far more knowledgeable members...

with your stats, avoid clen and hgh. Clen is for the last 5 pounds and hgh is a long term expensive commitment if you can even find legit hgh.

suggest read sticky cutting 101 written by Gbrice. Educate yourself and get moving. i started my cut today. holidays are over so time to get serious!!!! remember to curb appetite with lots and lots of water and green veggies.

seems you travel quite a bit and finding gyms is not an issue on the road, but eating can be a challenge but is doable but you will find yourself ordering differently and not eating the portion sizes they serve up.

if you need a trainer, hire one if you feel it is beneficial for you. i don't need that type of motivation and I especially hate workout partners (or i haven't found the right one - lol).

if you haven't gotten a full blood work panel lately, suggest see a doctor to check your hormones. seems some men suffer from low T in the 50s. Theres another sub forum HRT in steroids forum. post bloodwork, ask questions there if you are interested in this topic. the HRT gents will help interpret the BW results. They are quiet good!!!

    Good luck!
