    Surving Hell

Well, we're off to another summer in AZ. I will be working 12 hour shifts 5x a week outside in 120 degree weather.

I have done it before, but never being over 200 pounds and being close to single digit Bf%.

What should my focus of diet be to stay hydrated?

Along with how lean should my diet be? I wanna retain muscle(of course). But, I don't wanna die either.

    Any suggestions would be great

I came off the sauce for a little but jumped back on, there's no way I can make it without test, that much I know.

Chew on cucumbers all day and drink water. Not a whole lot to do other than keep drinking. I wouldn't worry about the leanness of your meals.

I would avoid/minimize things that counter hydration heavily, like Coffee, alcohol, soda, fried stuff, etc...

    Strong 30k post. . . . lol

Coffee is kind of an issue, I'm def laying off the booze though

I bring food to work & just eat every few hours, but it's tough to keep up - It's barely hitting 80 out here and I'm already leaning out

Don't wait until you are thirsty, keep a water bottle on your body some how and take a drink at least ever 15 minutes, it will only take a few seconds. If you put it down somewhere then you will keep putting it off because you are busy and dont want to walk away from you work. Find a spot on your utility belt or something.

Yup when i workerd in wa i would drink 15 litres a day and not even have to pee. The hard part is all the water makes you feel very bloated and still thirsty. Some kind of sugar free gatorade or magnesium drink helps with the hydration. If at all possible hook a iv drip to your self. Not joking

I hear that, I'm trying to eat every chance I get

Anyone with input on this - I'm thinking of adding like a low dose of dBol to cause a little water retention. It'd theoretically help with hydration & help my joints.

Oh come on, just strap the bag to your back and you should be good to go. You might want to use duct tape instead of that wimpy surgical tape to keep the IV in your arm of course.

ha here you go, Ive got you covered. Look if this 11yr old can do it so can you. Dont be a wimp. Dont be so quick to count out a crazy idea even if it is from Euro. As you can see it's possible.

I bet there are a few of us who would chip in to help you buy the hello kitty backpack if you want.

Dude, I lived in Vegas for a long time. You're over thinking this. Just try to stay out of direct sunlight whenever possible and always have a water bottle nearby. It always took me a good few weeks every year to get used to the 110+ temperatures but after it happens, it's not THAT bad. It's better than freezing your ass off.

I was in a similar situation as you. Not as hot. High 90's low 100 but humid as hell. I carried a gallon jug around with me and a water bottle in my back pocket for when I was away from the gallon jug. If eat a good breakfast and snack on my way to work (45 min commute). I never really watched my sodium intake to much because I'd just sweat it all out anyways and my diet was fairly lean though too. All you can do is just eat and drink a ton! I'd swear so much that I looked like I jumped in a pool with all my clothes on

I agree, I wouldn't trade the 120F dry heat for the opposite in cold weather, Ever.
I too work outside in it and have for 18 years, light weight clothing that covers as much skin as possible.
Gallon jug near by at all times, if you start to get a tingling nose/upper gums its time to take a break and get more water/shade.
