Need clarification of this conversion technique

Hello, I am planning in converting some test-e for my first cycle. I am going to use this guide: b.a.sski.ller.online.com/steroids-test-enanthate-conversion.shtml

Remove the dots before "online"

It is pretty simple but I do not understand what is the point of the 25g pin in the vial? It is not used in the process so why did the author include it.

Hopefully someone with knowledge in this area can answer.

Injecting into what? He does not use it in that tutorial at all. The only thing I can think of is maybe to reduce pressure during the filtration process.

It's at the bottom, it doesn't explain why it's like that. Regardless, for this kind of thing the gauge doesn't really matter.

There are two needles.
One is used to inject the test into the sterile vial.
The other one is used to vent air out of the sterile vial.
