Please invent a battery powered syringe

the world needs a syringe that is battery powered and initiated with the easy single push of a button that activates battery powered gears to depress/inject oils. 30 seconds per cc perhaps.

regardless all other reasonable arguments,
i will always be convinced that it is the tip of the needle not being held completely still while within the tissue that is the main cause of sore injection spots.

a battery powered syringe would give the user a MUCH MUCH more still and steady hand when pinning.

this will reduce muscle tissue damage at the needle tip allowing for much less painful pins.

of course this wouldnt be easy to create, and of course there will always exist that "im tough crowd" that would call such a device sinister,and un-sport like, but none the less

i write this hoping that it might, by rare chance, fall into the mind of an able engineer that might have this contraption available for us soon.

On the other hand, in order for faster production, for use immediately in the non professional medical realm:

the prototype could be some sort of mechanism which one would insert a usual 3ml syringe into, in other words, as if today's conventional syringes would be inserted into the mechanism as a "cartridge".

Or maybe instead of gears you could remove the long part of the pusher and put a hand pump on the end to keep pressure on the rubber piece that pushes the liquid

How different is a piston in a car from a syringe? Granted the amount of power there is massive overkill for these purposes but couldn't the same design work on a smaller scale?

EDIT: ok i definitely need to explain this further. Obviously the pusher can't be pushed back by a spark igniting gas, but the basic mechanism could easily be attached to something as simple as a hand crank or a powered motor.

Or maybe an aquarium air pump with adjustable gph?

Well actually it solves a huge problem in power because instead of just pushing linearly we can have the plunger (the top part of the piston in your picture) move linearly powered by something that takes advantage of torque by spinning the metal rod. I don't know offhand exactly how to calculate how much less power is required but I think it does help. And then a motor can spin a gear with that rod attached and have it go up and down. I just gotta find a car with one of these mechanisms to, some motor that I can attach to it and a big tube to test it out. Probably can't do it now but I'll try to put something together this week.

i bought a 25 pack of syringes for $6

an automatic syrine will cost lot more than that - not to mention it would need to be a disposable item, or be cleanable- using a steriliser- again adding to the costs and time to spend cleaning the syrine- i dont think its worth an investment.

ok so it needs to aspirate (motor goes backwards and forwards) be cleanable (tube is easily removable) and cheap as free (how expensive is a motor?) and be very stable … anything else?

aspiration is a wonderful concept.

however, with the needle "wobbling" going on today with guys trying to inject themselves with one hand, aspiration is pointless. a vein is so small that one would be in and out of it several times if in the vicinity of hitting one with even the slightest movements at the plunger end.
And this is before a "right-hander" trys to use his non-dominant hand for the opposite side, and vice versa.

I think a syringe with a cock pump that ran off the battery power would be amazing. As your gear gets injected your horn gets a good pumping.

you make it sound like everyone has this problem, when it sounds like its just you...I myself have zero pip injecting with my cheap ass 25 cent pins...maybe you just need more practice/experience....

I only had one sore arse and a bunch or tiny sore arses. It is very subtle the next day if any. I o a 1, 2, 3 wham and it goes in then I push it up against my skin basically so I can put pressure on it as it is done dispensning.

One time at band camp I like an idiot rotated the needle so I could see the numbers and that was my worst pain afterward.

I have never ever aspirated in my arse. I was always told that with the 22G 1 1/2 needle there is no way you need to. Been years with none and no ill effects. I have seen a dot or more like a spec of blood in the body of the syringe but that is most likely the back pressue as I am removing the needle as it passes by a vein I nicked.

You know they have auto-injectors for insulin injections. Have for years.

the best would be something like silicon pistol. you put the whole siringe in that, and once pinned you only have to pull the trigger

This is the best option so far.
But I personally don't see the need for it.
I use to think pinning was going to be the worst part.
Now I'm a PRO.

should i take this to mean that 1" is bad?

And if it is bad/too short, could one simply push it in farther?
