Cardiac events can be extremely demotivating and honestly, downright depressing. However, those feelings do fade with time from my experience.
Facing our own mortality has a way of humbling us to an excessive degree. Be thankful for your wife, she will be a huge part of your healing process (especially mentally). As Kel suggested, it may help to speak to a therapist or counselor.
I know my bouts with cardiac events were very depressing, but the bottom line is that addressing these issues can minimize/negate them.
Hang in there!!!! You'll be you old self before you know it. I found it helpful to refocus my thought process away from what "could have happened" and instead focus on "the things I want to achieve".

There are 3 loves in my life: my wife, my English mastiffs, and my weightlifting....Man, my wife gets really pissed when I get the 3 confused...
