    High blood pressure

Been on test c for about a year and a half, Friday I recieved latest blood results and my total t level was over 1200! Currently on 160 mg doctor lowered to 140 to try and get t lower! Blood pressure was very high, I believe it was around 165/90 something, and my blood pressure has always been normal! Has anyone else had the problem of high blood pressure while on trt, could high T level cause it or maybe estrogen, should I donate blood? Any info would be appreciated! Thanks

That's very high. Yes, elevated hematocrit will increase BP by virtue of your blood simply being thicker. Estrogen at normal levels, no.
I'd be giving blood. Consider DRBC's.

Be very careful with your blood pressure. Don't ignore it. You may find this interesting as well:

Thanks kelkel, wife took it for me earlier and it was 138/78, so at least it wasn't quit as bad! Gonna check every couple of days, going to donate blood fri. Also any input on total T being in the 1200 range! He lowered my dose said he wants it under 1000, but I was given an hcg script for atrophy, gonna start that this week! Not sure of the dose yet had him fax to pharm. thanks again!

I know when my levels are high, I retain water and my BP goes up. I'd lower it and see how you do.

As far as donating blood, I do so every six months. It lowers RBC. Which is a side of HRT and you will feel better.

    Thats really high BP

Please address it as is very dangerous. Hows your diet? Salt? Too much saturated fat? No enough vegetables?

    Not everything is hormones related...

Raised BP is just the price of admission with TRT sometimes. I'm surprised your Doc didnt put you on anything especially at those levels. IMO you should be more concerned with the high BP than 1200 total test levels...
