Thread: Workout after surgery?

    Workout after surgery?

I had ACL reconstruction as well as micro fracture surgery in my left knee. I will not be able do legs or cardio for awhile. How can I reconstruct a workout that burns fat and produces muscle?

Upper body work, continue to do whatever you can with the leg and small amounts of work with the other leg. As for cardio you could do lots of high rep circuit like training with the upper body.

Should I modify reps or sets. Maybe shorten time between sets? Maybe start super setting with the upper body? I want to keep body fat down. I can't walk run or bike for 6 weeks. What do you think?

Use this time to try something new. You're going to have to modify your workout anyway. Do what you can but avoid rei-njuring your leg. You'll be back to 100% in no time.
