I'm 48 year old male, had most of the symptoms of Low T for many years, lack of energy, poor recovery, brain fog, depression, etc., Was tested a year ago and my total T was below 300, but went to 3 physicians and none would treat. Finally ended up going to a clinic and am doing test injections + hcg now. My levels are now in the mid 500's.
The most noticable benefit for me so far has been strength increases, by about 5% on all my big lifts, but this has tapered off a bit. I am only seeing minor improvements in the other symptoms I had, very minimal in energy level increases. I described this to my clinic doc and he said my numbers looked good and continue the regimine, end of discussion.
I'm a little dissappointed because I've seen many others with a drastic improvement. Do I have unrealistic expectations? Any advice from anyone with similar experiences?
Also wondering how one would change their training or routine while on this, my thinking is recovery is better so I may be able to increase frequency and volume a bit now. Before I would probably consider myself a hardgainer, any more than lifting 2x a week would overtrain me pretty easily. Now I'm doing a upper/lower split 3x a week, minimal volume but high intensity and am gaining pretty well but want to get the most out of it if I can handle more.
