I have been dealing with a practice that has been prescribing the traditional three-prong approach to TRT (test, AI, and HCG). The clinic I go through has transitioned to a new practice with a different approach. In addition to the three-prongs they require, every six months, that the patient come off test and do a clomid/daily HCG restart. This adds significant cost to the regimen.
Is this actually necessary for the permanent TRT patient? What is the rationale if you are going right back on the test after the restart? Is this supposed to correct some sort of downregulation?
Thanks!
