I want to buy one and want some suggestions. I've heard inzer forever belts are the best. I also am curious when to use them. Only when going real heavy? I've heard using them all the time could hinder back progress. Thanks fam.

I have a beautiful pink inzer belt that I have had for over 5 years. I use only when going heavy on deadlifts and squats. It's the only belt I have owned, so I have nothing else to compare it to but it works for me.
I've heard nothing but good things as well
Inzer are a very solid option, nothing but good reviews from them except for how hard they are to break in. Training belted and beltless turns a movement like the squat or deadlift into a different movement entirely, the way you utilize your abdominals and intra-abdominal pressure is completely changed. This means it's ideal to get grease the groove with your warm-up sets and start using your belt a lot earlier than many would recommend. Keep in mind i'm only really talking about the squat and deadlift here.
It can also be a useful tool on the bench, a lot less than the squat or deadlift but still adds to overall tightness and rigidity.
It doesn't necessarily change the muscles being used, it just adds to tightness and the effectiveness of a stable core throughout the movement.
I'd suggest using it as early as you want, long before anythings going to be a struggle, I usually chuck it on at 2 plates, I usually work with 3-3.5 plates (in that range).
I just purchased my Inzer belt three weeks ago and love it. Your able to loosen it easier in between sets compared to a traditional double buckle belt. With the Inzer belt you can tighten up faster and easier. Remember it's personal preference. Everyone is different. You need to try both and see what works for you.
Wear it where ever is most comfortable and allows you to lift the most weight/get the most intra abdominal pressure. It'll take a while to figure out but look up how to properly use a belt (how to properly brace and breath into it etc) and you'll figure it out in no time.
There's single prong, double prong and lever belts I'd recommend a single prong or a lever belt whatever you like the best but double prong is just a hassle to get on and off sometimes. Always get a 4" wide 13mm thick belt.
I love my inzer forever lever belt, make sure you "Break it in" or you may get stuck in it the first time like myself hahah, but love it, worth every penny
I've had my Inzer lever belt 10mm for a couple years now. Honestly - you've heard good things about it, and it is a great belt. Definitely do some reading up on them if you're new to them. Like Khazima said experiment and wear it where you can get the most intra abdominal pressure. Belts won't hinder any progress since the same muscles are being worked plus a rule I go by is only using it when needed, meaning when you start getting up to working sets closer to your 1RM. Think of it like this - as opposed to only having your "internal" belt, wearing an actual belt gives you a solid "wall" to push out against therefore increasing internal pressure and adding strength/stability to your core. You're not supposed to wear it throughout the whole workout, use it like a "tool" when needed.
For those of you with the Inzer lever belts, do you prefer 10mm or 13mm? I compete, and I'm looking for something that will be comfortable for doing both squat and deadlift. Obviously, the 13mm would allow for a bit more support, but I also want to be mobile when I'm deadlifting. Also heard the 13mm is much more of a pain to break in than the 10mm.
I have the 10mm and I honestly think that it is plenty thick for most. Everyone I've talked to that has the 13mm says they love it too but it's a mf'r to break in and will beat you up the first week lol. In my opinion, you can't go wrong with either though. I will say - I really like the lever, it lets you get it real tight and not have to waste any time before your lift dealing with prongs.
Thanks, guys. Do you guys have a problem with doing deadlift using the 13mm belt once it's broken in? I need a belt that's comfortable for both squat and deadlift.
I personally like my Inzer 13mm lever belt. Easy release after every set without taking off your belt.
I got a inzer forever lever belt 10mm and I loves it.
10mm is getting not strong enough fast...
Eve tually I will get a 13mm. But 10mm do the job nicely.
As said above if you are planning to go heavy warm up with the belt cause it change slightly the movement.
Depends in your program adjust some phase.
Mine is builded that the first 2 weeks of the first part are relatvly easy(kind of a deload) third week are my past PR which I start using my belt.
Week 5 volumes drop and weight go up but still manage to go beltless.
Weeks 7 those are my PR of last cycle so I use belt until the end of my training.
So I have 2 weeks off 3weeks on 2 weeks off 3 weeks on my belt.
Plus some additionnal core work twice a week. So this way my core will always follow my lift. At worst still always be a little under. But will still improve over time
Using belt all the time isnt an issue in itself but you become dependant on equipement.
Same as my sleeves use them only on reps/heavy weight or at first sign of knee pain.
Im a raw lifter so I try to minimise the equipment needed while still being competitive by using whats allowed.
I've been using Inzer belt, 13mm for a few years by now, it's really a forever belt.
Can't go wrong with inzer 13mm forever belt...single prong
Inzer definitely
i have had a inzer belt for over two years and like said above it takes a while to break in. i would suggest using it even on warm up deadlifts and squats to break it in. great product though and incredibly sturdy
