First, let me thank each of you who have helped me over the past year with my TRT journey. I started out with a clueless primary care physician who meant well by putting me on TRT, but honestly didn't know what he was doing. Through this board, I have learned a lot and since found an endocrinologist who seems much better suited to help me find success. Without your help, I wouldn't have known what to ask or do.
More good news: endo wants to find root cause of my low T and high prolactin, so I am having an ultrasound and a MRI done to see what may be causing levels. Again, happy to have a doc that is interested in my success.
I had BW done on 06/04/2015 which was day 7 of 10 of test cyp 0.5ml of 200mg/ml (no other scripts at the time of this BW):
• Total Testosterone
1269 (348 - 1197 ng/dL)
• Free Testosterone
24.6 (8.7 - 25.1 pg/mL)
• Estradiol
20.4 (7.6 - 42.6 pg/mL)
• Prolactin
25.1 (4.0 - 15.2 ng/mL)
• Cortisol
14.7 (2.3 - 19.4 ug/dL)
• CBC
can detail if you need it
• Comprehensive Metabolic Panel
can detail if you need it
• Lipid Panel
can detail if you need it
Before results came in, endo was concerned (as was I) about my growing man tits, so she gave me a script for Anastrazole 1mg/day. Since the results came back and showed my E was not high, I am not taking the med. Still not sure why my man tits are growing.
Once the results came in, endo was concerned about my high level of Prolactin, so she gave me a script for Cabergoline 0.25mg/week, which I just started taking this week.
The final concern, and one I have had since nearly the beginning of my TRT last year, is the constant discomfort of my testicles which have shrunk to nearly nothing and typically remain close to or inside my groin cavity. She called in a script for hCG, but my insurance denied it. She said many of her patients have that problem with insurance, so they seek hCG abroad.
I've read the message board rules, so I know I can't ask for direct links to sites that sell hCG. I don't know where to begin beyond a google search, as I am very nervous about non-pharma substances. However, like my endo, I do believe hCG is a vital part of my TRT. I don't want to do this blindly, and would like advice from you who have experience with reputable and reasonably priced sources.
Any advice or help you can give me without breaking message board rules?
