    Whole eggs or egg whites?

I eat eggs everyday, usually 3 in the morning and 3 at night towards bed time. I eat my eggs hard boiled and whole.

Do you guys normally eat whole eggs or just egg whites? How do you cook your eggs? How many a day do you eat?

Despite the yolk containing fat and cholesterol, it seems a waste to throw that additional protein away, especially considering protein utility from eggs is the highest of any food. I also think it adds flavour as egg white on its own is damn hard to get down on a daily basis.

No idea how some guys eat 8-12 in one sitting though.

Whole eggs preferably range raised. While eggs give a complete profile for amino acids and fats. The way I see it is "What is an egg?". It's a baby that doesn't need fruit, broccoli, bread or a chicken breast to turn into a living being no matter if it's a chicken or a snake. Great to use for Ketosis cutting because it 65%fat and 35% protein.

I eat 2 eggs and half an avocado.

If I use egg whites I can equivalent of 4 eggs and half avocado. More food so I do switch it up.

I am on the egg white spirt now.

Egg yolk is mostly fat, you can get protein from egg whites. I do 4 eggs worth of egg whites mixed 2 full eggs (for taste). Sometimes ill just eat 6 egg whites and pour hot sauce and/or picante on them.

I am in the same boat as Rando on this one. I eat both egg whites and full eggs. I am not a huge fan of the taste of the egg yolk so I make scrambled eggs that contain 6 egg whites and two full eggs add in some Salsa and boom. You have yourself a meal my friend.

Egg cholesterol is the good kind, won't hurt you in the same way as bad fats. They drive up you numbers sure, but eggs are great. It's natures perfect food. The chicken before it hatches gets everything it needs from what's in that egg. Think about that, kinda cool.

Why would you ever throw the yolk away. That's just crazy. Currently no eggs in my diet.

But if there are. It's 6 scrambled for breakfast.

I usually eat 2 yolks and 8 whites just to get the volume of protein in my meal without to much fat in the am

I haven't read the replies, so apologies in advance if I'm being redundant.

Whenever possible (read: macros permitting), I eat whole eggs. About half the protein content, not to mention the large majority of micronutrients, are in the yolk. Think about it (and try not to vomit): the embryo grows in the yolk sack (nutrients are needed to grow), not in the white. There's a reason for that.

That said, I add cartoned, liquid whites to tons of things, just to up the protein content.

    White only for now:

    2 whole eggs:
    144 calories
    10 g fat
    372 mg cholesterol
    12.6 g protein

    6 egg whites:
    102 calories
    0.6 g fat
    0 g cholesterol
    21 g protein

Plus, my dogs love the yolks. On a bulking cycle, I do 1/2 whites, 1/2 whole

20 eggs a day for me. Mostly just the whites. I don't know about anybody else, but eggs have tripled in price in my area over the last couple months. Went from paying .99 per dozen to 3.00...crazy!! I rely on eggs for a large part of my protein intake, may have to find a substitute for them if the prices continue to rise. Don't want to have to take a second mortgage out on my house just to buy freakin' eggs!!...lol...

iv ate at least 7 whole eggs a day and been on a high natural fat and protein diet for 4 months now and haven't gained a pound of fat the fat in eggs is different from saturated fats in foods like pizza I actually read a study a while back that the fat in eggs works together with the protein but that's just my take on it not saying anyone who eats egg whites is wrong after all Ronnie Colman eats them

Before I started using egg beaters, I got tired of wasting eggs if I got burnt out and switched up my foods for breakfast, I always did 6 egg whites along with two whole eggs. If it weren't for wanting to get my fats from other sources like nuts and avocado, I'd probably do more. Now, I really enjoy the eggbeaters southwestern style. 2 cups is equivalent to 8 eggs and throw some pico for added flavor once it's cooked. If I were bulk dieting, I wouldn't mind more whole eggs.

A family history, or personal history, of hypercholesterolemia may contraindicate the addition of dietary cholesterol.
Many cholesterol problems are genetic, and it doesn't hurt to have that level tested by a doctor.
That being said, if you have no family, or personal history, of elevated cholesterol levels then I think you are a fool if you only eat the white. The whole egg is a wonderfully delicious and nutritious muscle food!
