Filtering Gear - Quick Question

Guys, can you give me some info here. When filtering your gear with a .45 filter, do you drawl the gear up thru the filter first, then take the filter off

Or

do you/can you drawl the gear up THEN run it thru the filter?

R U filtering going into the needle or going out?

I can't seem to get any gear <sust> to get thru the filter, using a 20G needle and can't seem to get the gear thru the filter.

Okay, first of all, why? Second, suck up the oil with 18 or 20g needle, once in syringe, put filter, and new needle on, then push through the filter. Itll take some pressure and time.

OK, with out giving out too many details/secrets, ones that I have read here on THIS board, I was had to "unpack" my gear for transport, now I want to filter it back into a sealed vial to be on the safe side.
