    Question

Has anyone ever experienced taking Medrol while on cycle? It's a a glucocorticoid called methylprednisolone, I was prescribed it for poison ivy. Today is the third day I've been on it and I woke up feeling super anxious, I have absolutely no appetite, and my heart is beating a bit fast at times. I noticed my mood changing a little over the past couple days before this happened but this morning it's worse. I feel slightly weak in the hands and arms, and really thirsty as well. It says there can be interactions with daily aspirin users as well, something I didn't tell my doctor I was on. Not sure where to go, what to do. I think I'm gonna call the doc but I hope it don't get worse cause the i may have to tell him I'm on the gear. Any responses are appreciated cause I'm freaking out a bit. Ty

I don't know if people aren't replying because they don't know or if they don't want to give medical advice, which I would unserstand, but, I'm just trying to figure out if anyone has ever had any experience with this or if they know of any interactions that could be possible. I looked up some on Google and couldn't find much.

If you couldnt find in google it will be hard here...

But I though you answered your own question, if the rash is almost gone why do you want to continue the corticoid??

I feel like you're making an issue out of a simple decision. The way i see your situation you have 3 options.

    1 Stop taking Medrol.
2 Stop taking Medrol and begin taking an over the counter product like benadryl, calamine, hydrocortisone etc.
3 Call your doctor. Tell them you are having an adverse reaction and would like a different prescription.

I didn't know if I could just stop taking it. I haven't taken it this morning and have a call placed in to my dr. and am awaiting his response. I'm feeling better already in the few hours since I took it.

Yeah man, I may be. I struggle with anxiety and this med is making it go through the roof. Sometimes I struggle with making decisions and just need to here what others think. Like I said a minute ago I placed a call into my doc and have hydrocortisone on hand I'm gonna use.
