Is it ok to mix fats in with a carb heavy meal?

I was under the impression based off much research that fat is easily stored as adipose tissue if an insulin response is triggered ie; carbs

Bodybuilders preach either eating a Carb/Protien or Fat/Protien only and not mixing F/C together.

I would love to add a yolk with my oats and egg whites,
A table spoon of olive oil with my chicken and sweet potatoe.

    What are your opinions?

    Thanks

Be careful if you are in a calorie surplus. If you are cutting then dont worry about it as overall calories will be the deciding factor of fat gain or fat loss.

Im not 100% sure on the mechanism of fat gain while in a calorie surplus other than being in the surplus, hopefully one of the vets will drop in.

Ill be doing a lot of reading into this before my first bulk. Im sure what you are saying will have an impact on fat vs muscle gain though.

have a watch of these videos if you have not already. This is old school "body building" its fair to say that there are plenty of ways to get big and lean these days BUT IMHO you can not go wrong following this diet advice.

if i remember correctly it explains the reason behind not mixing carbs and fats.

yea that was one of the videos that gave me this idea.

Then you have every second bloke having 10g fat per meal.

My opinion is that it is fine. Within reason. May even help reduce the glycemic load.
