    Stuck at 200lb

    Hi All

I have been doing my diet to lose BF and it's been working up until 2 weeks ago I have lost 17lb in total since end of June I'm now stuck at 200lb.

I have reduced my carbs from 230 to 135 to see if this will help my protein still at 240 and fat still at 60.

I'm training 5 times a week had to cut the cardio down due to shin splints just doing light stuff.

    Hight 5ft 11"
    Weight 200lb
Last recorded BF 22.4% 4weeks ago
    Age 37

Could this be due to adding muscle as I'm getting stronger during my lifting.

My belly fat seams to of slowed down but looks like it's coming from my back more now as my was fat and now it's looking loads better.

Any help as I'm still green

I had the same thing happen and was stuck for 2-3 weeks and then a bunch of fat came off in a wave. I would keep at it and definitely try cycling carbs. Fat loss as with muscle development often happens in periods as opposed to steady progression.

On my 2 days rest I have no carbs or I don't have what I normally have anyway just what comes in like my protein bars or shakes and the small amount you get in the foods.

Maybe I just held up and over the next week or so it starts coming off again.

I will see if the carb cycling will help I did start doing that but when I dropped my carbs I felt like my strength was going down with it so went back to keeping them on a steady Level where I feel strong while training and not so tired.

    Cheers for the replies guys

You should give yourself a day to carb reload. I do it periodically and the next day I wake up feeling better and looking leaner.

I have started carb cycling over 3 days and it's working I'm down to 198 think I needed a kick start.

I'm doing 1 day high 1 day moderate 1 day low will keep at this over the next week or so and see if I carry on losing lbs.

    Cheers for the replies.

Cheat meal may also work, pizza, ice cream and chocolate cookies, you may need your hormones resetting. Pig out once every two weeks, it keeps you sane too, and motivated to stay dialled in Sunday's to Monday's.

Cheers MR I normally miss my last 2 meals on a Sunday afternoon and have a meal with the bird but it's a plate of meat a Turkish mixed grill so just a plate full of protein really.

the fats may be beneficial, but finish off with a sugary sweet dessert too, add carbs in too, for a full macro meal.
