    Perfect protein intake

    Lately I've been learning more and more about dieting, especially bulking.. One thing I'm reading a lot about is the ideal protein consumption.. I have read everything from 0.5g per lb of body weight to 2-3g per lb of bodyweight..

    At the moment I am 200lbs on a bulk, taking in 750 cal surplus. I am on around 100g fat, 400g of carbs and 300g of PROTEIN.. I find this working ATM.

    Just want to know what everyone else thinks about this and what you personally take..

    I usually sit around 1g-1.2g per lb, and won't stress if i go below for a day here and there. Generally the research indicates 1g per lb to be more than enough, with no difference between .8-1g per lb being shown.

    There's no data on the difference for people using gear as far as i know.

    I've just tried dropping my protein a little and increasing carbs and I just feel like I'm getting fatter

    When are you eating the added carbs? All in one meal, late at night, throughout the day? Maybe trying making the addition before and after your workout. Seems to affect me less with that kind of timing.

    Yeah I added it in right before my workout and then have another meal as soon as I get home..
