My old gym is under construction so I decided to switch to another which is fairly close - so 3 weeks ago I signed up. Lets just say it is frequented by some very serious lifters and what I consider genetic freaks (no disrespect intended).
A huge warehouse with the best variety & volume of equipment I've ever seen - not pretty in any way/kind of grungy, even beat-up, but in perfect working order. Plus, no techno music to drown out my Pantera and Slipknot.
I finish one exercise and see another machine I want to try and have had the longest, high-volume workouts I've ever done with time flying by without notice.
Plus now, I have the advantage of TRT so even at 57 and being a notoriously slow gainer, I feel I have a "fighting chance", particularly when I've seen weight loss and muscle gain every week.
Bottom line, I'm approaching my workouts with enthusiasm and hope that I haven't had since my early twenties. Sweet!
Thanks to all that answered some of my initial questions - getting dialed in, follow up blood work is good, can't wait to blast later on this year. Thanks all, great forum!
