I don't know about peptides doing much for a herniated disc, but for mine I do timed inversions. One big plus was also purchasing a reverse hyper for my home gym, that has helped tremendously. Some gyms have them. Lastly, I do about 10-15 minutes of yoga every morning as soon as I get out of bed with poses directed specifically for helping realign my discs and spine. My herniation is the L5/S1 so these three things help keep me upright, not sure if it would do the same for her depending on location of her injury. Id also avoid high impact exercises until it's resolved such as running, box jumps etc.
