I've been looking into self blood letting for my next cycle. I have a nurse friend who is going to show me how. I have everything I need. How did you learn to do it? Any tips?

Here's a link to a member's instructions and video. My wife helps me and I don't do it this exact way(I use sterile IV tubing). But, this should give you a good idea of what to do. It's quite simple.

If your not used to a rig like 16-18g to bleed defo let her insert the needle as it can blow your vein very quickly, being so long and straight(it's not like the hospitals soft catheter like tube that goes inside the vein)

I just tapped off about 16+oz the other day... Check BP b4 and if it's elevated check about 10min after - I bet it's gond down to normal or better as long as your crit wasn't super high prior to the bleed...

Thanks for the feed back. I hear ya with the self trt samson. I would definitely once I find a reliable source but that seems to be quiet the hurdle!! So I'll pay the extra money and have pharma grade for sure. Till my patience pays off!

Looks simple enough. I may give it a go. My nurse friend is flaking out on me, so I may just try it out. The needle doesn't have to go very deep. I remember my first pin. That was intense. This doesn't seem like that big of a deal. Puts my mind at ease that there are guys doing that on here. Makes me believe in myself more for some reason

My wife does mine. My biggest issue is coagulation. The blood clogged the tubes very quick.


I am using a 18ga needle & aquarium air tube.

Fk.... Same here. I use an 18ga needle and just about every time it stops at 3/4 pint. Gets clogged in the needle, I think. No way I'm using 16 GA lol. I'm like wth am I doing wrong. I know my blood ain't that thick. Oh well.... It's better than nothing.

So I just want to clarify: when I insert the 18 gauge needle into the vein, the blood will simply pour out into the tube and drain until the tube either clogs or until I decide to stop (at which point I will apply a cotton ball and band aid, correct)?

Some use any type of tourniquet and let it go once the blood starts flowing.I I keep a BP cuff on during the process and keep it pumped up a bit. When it slows down, I inflate it up. Maybe take an aspirin a few hours before. Let us know how it goes.

Finally did it. Twice.the first jab just made me bleed as I didn't penetrate deep enough. The second one went well but only got half pint before it clogged. I then stuck a different site on the same arm and got an additional 1-4 pint. Pleased with the result. Not too difficult

Don't waste your money dudue. If you feel that your test levels are low find a good endo doc in your area.
