That was my last show the WABBA GP Tall class no weight limitations, fairly happy with what i brought to stage but i came away feeling that i can do better, its always a learning process and when you get on the competitive stage you learn fast. It was a trade off between carrying extra size and having better condition, in prep week i fully depleted and loaded up with 1000g carbs for three days.
Hey well done my friend wooow just well done, looks like you got a set of balls on you aswell in those trunks ( only joking) really glad to have you back and what an achievement keep on it and nice to see you here again.
Very well done! Conditioning in pics was very good! A journey it sure is, welcome back man, I will keep my eye on your progress around here, good stuff.
Especially digging the grayscale theme on photos
Welcome back, MR-FQ320! Congratulations on your wins! You look real good man!
Thanks all you guys, big plans for next year and I fancy logging progress here.
Well i gave it my all, i dont have a prep coach like most do, so im happy with my slow but unrelenting progress, so professional pictures of the day was a no brainer even if its for memories or for me to scrutinise over to make improvements for next year. I have the colour too but B&W look more arty and seem to give more detail.
Good job, looks like you had lots of fun also!

It doesnt matter how good looking she is, some where, some one is tired of her shit.

Welcome back FQ, Great job, i remember you going for a show then you never came back lol. Good your back, you know you'll get all the help you need here.
thanks BG, yes Iv learnt to smile when posing haha instead of looking like im having a constipated shit lol. Posing / tensing from the neck down takes practice.
I do love the process and the results, each show I have improved and learnt more and thats what also keeps me going, knowing i can do better, and it does get easier, so now i have learnt to enjoy it, those priceless 5 / 10 mins on stage where you get to show off to a captive audience - spine tingling, now thats shit money cannot buy
Thanks Clarky, yeah i know lol, I put myself under great pressure for a few months leading up to that first show, I trained like a machine, after the show it was like a great weight was lifted from my shoulders, so i took some time out and lightened the load, so 18 months later and 8 shows later iv gained enough experience to be able to do a show without much added pressure. yes we are all still always learning, i think a lot is by trial and error but knowing the science behind it is always good.
Awesome job man... And welcome back!
Great pics sir you look good!! Posing used to wear me out! I would try and pose up to 30 minutes a day a couple weeks before a show and I would sweat more than when I trained lol. I know this is a personal question but how old are you? Im 55 and want to do a physique show next summer. Would love some help from the guys here.
Thanks JKW, yes its hard work, i had to have a breather back stage lol, ill be honest i never gave it that much practice lol.
Im 37 bro, Id love to help you out man, Im gonna start a a log thread capturing everything so hopefully everyone can learn from my experiences, drop by, start your own thread or PM me
Welcome back and congrats on the comp's you look sick In those photos..great straitions in your chest!!
Well you gotta have a dream haven't you ? but a dream without a plan will always be a dream,
and a plan without action will always only ever be a plan.
So after encouraging feedback from the competition circle, I have made an all encompassing plan that will get me to where i want to be.
where do i want to be ? I want to win overall in a show OR/AND be good enough to be invited to the worlds.(amateur)
so how am I gonna get there ? I need to be bigger / leaner / weak points brought up to speed / a mint tan / flawless posing routine.
Timeframe :60 weeks ish , ready for comp season sep/ oct/nov 17
Action plan:
1: recover fully from hernia op and get all other health issues sorted - NOW - another 5 week no lifting :-(
2: Start bulking diet NOVember, ramping up calories gradually - using a CKD diet plan ( diagnosed as celiac too ) controversial maybe = 40 weeks- goal is at least 250lbs @ 10% starting point is 232 lbs today
3: Follow 20 week training plan through 3 times, this is broken down into 5/6 sections that are 3/4/5 weeks long each, keep the muscle guessing
4: Gear is also to be periodized = details later
5: 20 week cutting - keeping calories as high as possible
So thats the rough outline of the plan, its based on what works for me and what works scientifically and some experimentation.
I have the energy, drive and motivation , i also have the time and the available funds to be able to fulfil my goal.
