what exactly does this mean and why does it mean that it can be consumed? Yes i know you can drink winny but i would like explanation that I can give to people when I tell them that Winny is a 17-aa that can be processed through oral consumption

17-aa stands for alpha alkaloid
The 17 refers to the 17th carbon on a steroid molecule.
17-aa have both an OH group and a Methyl group there.
This protects the molecule from the liver destroying it.
Pics to follow
1. This is the OH in the beta position
2. This is the Methyl (CH3) in the alpha position
17. This is the 17th carbon in a steroid molecule
note* This is methyl test you are looking at, Ill show plain enanthate and then plain testosterone next.
Test Enanthate
Notice the same 17th carbon and notice the enanthate ester on it.

And here is regular testosterone (no ester, suspesnion, or base if youd like to call it that)
Notice the OH group in the 17beta position.
