If you could only choose one Time to eat Carbs when would it be

should be in the diet section but I want more hits so I posted in here ,

Say you could only eat carbs once a day...

    would you eat them

    (A) Pre Workout Only

    or

    (B) Post Workout Only

Now say you can Eat carbs twice a day

    (A) Pre Workout + POST Workout

    OR

    (B) POST + POST POST Workout

I choose (B) for both as I back load with great results but curious what everyone else's takes are , I enjoy keto but not optimal so I force carbs around workouts

I would never eat carbs just once a day. At the very least pre and post.

I would have to say post.

My morning appetite is low compared to later on in the day. I enjoy fasting a couple hours every morning lately.

Pre + Post for the second question with an emphasis on post.

Seems most would always choose pre , I guess resoning for this would be for the pre energy and pump .

I've been doing post only and still get a pump and tons of energy cause they are stored over night ,

idea is none pre so you burn fat and deplete then reload post and all go to the muscles

also some people will say if your taking 60-80-G 1 hour pre you don't need any post cause you will still have some in your blood stream

I just ask because looking at carbs makes me fat so I reduce them drastically 100-150g a day and my body weight is staying the same and im leaning out like crazy .. all PWO none PRE yes I know mostly diet but I was keto for over a year no refeeds I think it screwed me up hard and now carbs don't sit well maybe insulin resistant a little or something,

been temped to move them pre and post for a while to see what happens or just get back on the keto train TKD dextrose PRE only

I would have to opt for post workout. IMO thats when you need the insulin spike the most. We all know that insulin is without a doubt the most anabolic hormone and creating that spike post workout would help shuttle all that protein and carbs to restore glycogen levels into your fatigued muscles.

60-80g carbs to fuel an entire workout lol?

    intra or post-workout.

OP, unless you're morbidly obese, keto is a poor option if you're on gear. Then again you shouldn't be on gear if you're obese, much less even a little overweight.

    ...

I find it hard to believe that you attempted a keto bulk on a cycle?

I started cyclic keto then transitioned to clean while on gear, so no experience bulking on keto only.

Why is keto a poor choice on gear? Not arguing, simply asking for the science behind it so I understand because it is a diet plan that works incredibly well for me for calorie restricted phases, just not that experienced with it on gear and while attempting lean gains/retention

It's an "OK" choice if you're cutting. It's possible to have an effective ketogenic cycle while cutting, however it's likely that your training will suffer a bit compared to a cut that includes 100g+ of CHO. Unfortunately ketones pale in comparison to glycogen when it comes to strength training. Taking a hit to training intensity, strength output, and endurance are enough to suggest a keto setup is far from ideal.

It's a poor choice for a bulk. A ketogenic diet does not elicit enough of an insulin response to keep MPS elevated and/or high enough to take advantage of bulking on gear. It's the furthest thing from optimal actually. It's like if you had decided to do a Test/Dbol/Deca bulking cycle but without a caloric surplus, while keeping proteins low and consuming your food within only 1-2 meals.

Can it work. Maybe a little. But why would you take the chance if you're taking the chance of being on cycle?
