Look at it this way. For arguments sake let's say your T level is 1000ng/Dl. When we give blood, if done properly, we give about a pint. The average weight of a pint of blood is 520 grams.

An ng (nanogram) is 1/1,000,000,000 of a gram and you will be donating 520 grams of blood in the pint of blood you will donate. Your body carries at the most 7/10 of a decaliter. So if t level is 1000 you have 70ng/liter of T in your blood. There are 2.11 pints of blood in a liter and 1 pint of that is 520,000,000,000 ng of blood containing about 33ng of T. So you will donate 33 ng of T which will bring your T level to 995ng/Dl if you have 7 liters of blood.

Theses tests are super sensitive so they can't be beat.
